Interview with Sufiyan Tahir about the new besttime Hotel in Boppard

Hotel “L’Europe” becomes “besttime Hotel Boppard”

The Tahir Group, which has been successfully expanding for years, has taken over the traditional “Hotel L’Europe” in the south of the romantic Rhine town of Boppard, between Bundesstraße 9 and the banks of the Rhine. Sufiyan Tahir, Managing Director of Tahir Investments GmbH, explained in an interview which ideas are to be implemented in the youngest member of the “besttime Hotels” group.

Mr Tahir, considerable investments are pending at the “besttime Hotel Boppard”. What are your plans there?

The hotel, which was taken over by our company, has been carefully rebuilt and fundamentally renovated since February. It is getting appealing floor coverings and completely new furniture. All sanitary areas will be equipped with high-quality Hansgrohe fittings. The 85 rooms are being renovated without exception and will soon be able to pamper their guests with ground-level rain showers, comfortable box-spring beds, flat-screen TVs and fast WiFi with Internet access.

What room rates can guests look forward to?

Low-priced standard double rooms will be available from 60 euros in the low season. But we also offer particularly attractive comfort rooms with impressive views of the Rhine and the other side of the river, some with balconies.

What will your offer for the physical well-being look like?

We have developed a new concept for the “besttime Hotel Boppard”: In the morning, a rich breakfast will be offered for 11.90 euros, where you can enjoy the view of the Rhine valley from the breakfast room. In the evening, our guests can enjoy the dishes of a changing buffet: The reasonable price of 24.90 euros also includes non-alcoholic drinks.

When will you be able to feel really good again at the “besttime Hotel Boppard”?

We want to reopen the hotel on Monday, 05 June. This is an ambitious goal for which we hope that all craftsmen will be able to keep their promises. In view of the still existing delivery bottlenecks for some building materials and inventory, this will not be easy. But we are very confident at the moment.

What tip do you give your guests who want to book their overnight stay online or by telephone?

Our group works with all the well-known booking portals. But guests who book their overnight stays via the hotel’s own booking portal (www.besttimehotel.de) or also via our own reservation centre by phone 06742 / 8020 get a ten percent discount on our standard rates. It’s worth it…

What are the further plans of the Tahir Group?

We would like to expand further in the area of the Rhenish Slate Mountains: Further hotel projects are already in preparation. In doing so, we are pursuing the goal that the “Besttime Hotels” can offer their guests a carefully prepared itinerary – from house to house in the Eifel, the Westerwald, the Bergisches Land as well as the Rhine and the Moselle.
